The LaserPrep automated mastering glass preparation system is the latest breakthrough in modular automation for CD and DVD mastering. The environmentally self-contained LaserPrep operates in a normal office or plant environment. This system processes new glass or glass already in the cassette directly from the ODC glass recovery system and automatically final cleans, coats, performs quality checks, bakes, and inserts up to 20 pieces of glass into an environmentally sealed storage/transport container ready for mastering.
The system utilizes two input and two output cassettes for a full capacity of 40 pieces of glass without operator intervention. This unit is capable of supporting up to two LaserWave II LBRs operating at 6X CD recording speeds or up to three operating at 75 MHz DVD clock rates.
The LaserPrep is network ready for remote programming and process monitoring and easily integrates into the LaserWave network provided by ODC. With the Laser Prep, you can prepare your mastering glass well in advance of your mastering needs or continue preparing glass while the LBR is in maintenance. This buffered operation is key in reducing overall production downtime. |
